Concept –

My process of painting has been germinated long before I actually started to paint. I absorb from nature, especially the remote, quiet and retreating atmosphere.

I travel away from the city hustle bustle where the natural elements create luminous imageries. I laze at the quiet spots not sketching or planning but blocking all conscious narratives in my head. My mind captures the ambience, without defining any particular object but the colours and forms infuse with my emotions, observing each subtlety and connecting in a musical note. Music and sounds of nature flow through me in the palette and create the dreamlike rhythm on my canvases. In such isolation I am compelled to go with my instinct trying to record the changing mood of nature.

The worldly lights and shadows converse with my subconscious in a fluid undefined language and layer by layer, my work emerges. Very often, a hint of natural elements like, land, water, horizon etc. Appear through the misty colors. Some paintings emerge with, strange and luminous, free-flowing objects that create the surreal and meditative mood that I experience while painting. The apparently regular day-to- day world reflects as fictional tales and I keep painting multiple layers of memories to evoke an intense thoughtful emotion. I leave it to the viewers to feel the colours and forms with their own experiences. Hence, I keep my paintings untitled.

I enjoy using acrylic as my medium and have been working on this Since long years. Recently, I have been experimenting with different shapes of the canvases, like hexagon, circle, elliptical etc. in clusters. I create multiple images within the same frame providing a varied, stimulating, gratifying view of the multiplicity of abstraction.
