Artist Statement

I began to work as an artist since 15years ago, based on Kolkata . For me, art is flights of fantasy and snapshots of reality and moments of exhilaration or annihilation. As an artist, I have struggled to ”speak’’ with my works. Ever since, I’ve been searching for direct experiences with specific transparent watercolour . Challenging their limits and incorporating those challenges into the final transparent watercolour on my contemporary art practice. The notion of my concept has arrived from my circumstance and day to day life. Development is a continuous process. Along with the constant fear of annihilation and domination. The process of development will continue in modern world. One obvious question arises here is, who will stop? In the globalization, this will be the ultimate future. Nothing can be done. Instead of knowing its consequences we are accepting these development programs. We all know that these advancements especially technological progression will not touch everyone, We have accepted it. With the fast improvement and expansion and technology at the upper layers, every other thing is changing at a very fast pace. Nature is losing its balance. Generally it is accepted that developed technology will destroy the declining technology. This is the pattern of social development, the rule of modernization. At the same time powerful people are using this technology to ruled and killed weak people. It is sad but true that this developed modern culture and society is not thinking of any alternatives. Society has been displaced from its previous status and its natural rights and human rights have been declined but no one is concerned.
Modernization a process of progressive transition had earlier promised to develop nature and its people on the same line. But it has failed to keep it promise. Capitalists, the bearer of modernity fails to bear the responsibility of inclusive development. This is where i raise my voice to protest through my works.

Concept Note

The notion of my concept has arrived from my circumstance and day to day life. We can see more vertical establishment in place of horizontal establishments. Our expectations are so high that we tend to lose our relation with the mother Nature. Our planet has become a jungle of concrete buildings. My source of inspiration is drawn from these concreate buildings, artificial lights, and my outside world.
Development is a continuous process. Along with the constant fear of annihilation and domination. The process of development will continue in modern world. One obvious question arises here is who will stop? In age of globalization, this will be the ultimate future. Nothing can be done. Instead of knowing its consequences we are accepting these developing programs. We all know that this advancements especially technological progression will not touch everyone, We have accepted it.
With the fast improvement and expansion of science and technology at the upper layers, every other thing are changing at very fast pace. Nature is losing its balance. It is sad but true that this developed modern culture and society is not thinking of any alternatives. Nature has been displaced from its previous status and its natural rights have been declined but no one is concerned.
It is this globalization which has entirely changed the societal graph.
Which has entirely changed the societal graph. It has destroyed the relationship between nature and human being. We are denied of our basic natural rights. I have tried to depict this particular theme through my work.
